In praise of togetherness
Books and images play a key role in implicitly sharing models of everyday life and social norms.
The storylines that we have imagined place our characters in ordinary everyday
situations mirroring the lives of every parent and child. Values like multiculturalism, tolerance
and an open mind are also prioritised in order for the young reader to discover how much
diversity is imbued in our society. Children are, as we know, real emotional
sponges and therefore our books place a large emphasis on positive feelings like happiness,
personal pride, self-worth, sharing and kindness to others.
